Lakeside Photocamp

Last weekend we hosted our first overnight photography workshop Lakeside Photocamp. Members of Busselton Camera Club attended and rose with the sun to capture the ever changing tones and textures of Lake Towerrinning.

They got their boots muddy and their feet wet capturing a variety of subjects and panoramas around the lake. The weather was challenging at times but burts of sunshine and a moody sky brought with it some golden moments. The camp kitchen was turned into a creative zone with camera, laptops and photography books sprawled on tables. A 2 hour photograph workshop was held focusing how to tell a story through pictures and capture emotion. Participants were challenged to go out and produce their own photoessay. It was a gathering of like minded people who love photography and the outdoors.

While I captured the group getting snap happy, they produced some stunning pictures of Lake Towerrinning and surrounding farmland, a combination of which can be seen below.

The workshop was held by photographer Astrid Volzke

And here are some striking images produced by members of Busselton Camera Club!
