Rarebits on Burrowes

Friendly Service, Great Coffee, Homemade Food. Quirky and Intimate. Located on a street named Burrowes.

These are some of things that were considered when Pam and Wayne Stockley decided to name their cafe Rarebits on Burrowes. This charming rural cafe is a real a gem. Filled to the brim with books, ornaments, retro home wares, art, photography, stuffed animals, checkered tabled clothes, freshly cut flowers and the smell of homemade lasagne and cappuccino. Pam and Wayne had the vision to turn this building, which since the 1930’s housed the Elders Agency, into a colourful local hub.

With their own kitchen garden out the back and the warm feel of a small close-knit community out the front, Pam and Wayne have created one of those special places that make you so glad you pulled off the highway.

Rarebits on Burrowes is located on the main street of Darkan and is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am – 4pm
