Country Music

The Boyup Brook Country Music Festival took place this weekend and it was a real hoot! Ballads and bush poetry tucked away inside Harvey Dickson’s music centre, a place so full of character it has your head swivelling.  Side stepping, hip swinging boot-scooting workshops at the old Flax Mill. The ‘gods of grease’ revved their way down the bustling main street in The Ute and Truck Muster. Vintage cars glistening in the sun, beautifully restored tractors and of course the boys from the bush with their V8 utes, cowboy hats and B&S stickers. The shaded grassy slope opposite the main stage at music park is a perfect spot to kick back and watch the artists. The festival runs over 4 days in the 3rd weekend of February every year so you can either visit for a day trip or camp there for the weekend and drink it all up! Here is a bit of colour from the weekend.
